Farewell to Our Beautiful Wine dog Jake
From the first day Jake became a part of the Chambers Winery Team in 2018, he has brought nothing but joy to us all. We called him the ‘Welfare Officer’. He was always checking in on us, from the morning greeting out front, to running up for the bump your arm/head in the lap check in. What a kind natured little soul he was.
His favourite past times included rounding up the casks every time the tape dispenser made a noise, the coffee machine made a noise or any winemaking equipment made a noise :) Please note that this also included a fair amount of his very load vocals!!! It’s certainly very quiet around here at present.
He spent his days between the winery, the farm and the vineyard. Jake supervised the picking, the sheep work, the birds on the dam, the winemaking processes and attended to the customers.
Stephen tried everything he could to save our little buddy by heading Melbourne for 24 hour care. Jakey fought so hard but his body had other ideas.
You were the best boy Jake, you have a piece of everyones hearts.
